Migrant worker dies on-board Pune-Prayagraj Sharmik Special train

In an unfortunate incident, a 34-year-old migrant worker died on board Pune-Prayagraj Shramik Special train on Monday.

The deceased identified as Akhilesh Kumar, who used to work at a hotel in Pune, had boarded the train along with his two friends to return to his hometown in Uttar Pradesh. Kumar died during the journey and his body was taken off the Shramik Special train at Majhgawan area of Madhya Pradesh’s Satna district.

Arun Kumar, Director General of Railway Protection Force (RPF) told PTI that the post mortem was conducted and that there was no confirmation of whether the migrant worker had contracted the virus or not.

Government Railway Police informed that details about Akhilesh Kumar’s medical history are being investigated in order to ascertain the exact cause of his death.
