Miscreants create ruckus at Chariot Bar in Dharampeth; demand ‘hafta’ from bar owner

Chariot Bar and Restaurant at Dharampeth, Nagpur

A man, along with a juvenile delinquent, was arrested by Sitabuldi Police in the wee hours of Monday for brutally attacking a security guard and issuing a life threat to the owner of Chariot Bar in Dharampeth, Nagpur.

As per the police, the accused Rahul Umashankar Gaure (26), along with his minor friend, was drinking at Chariot Bar on Sunday. The duo, while leaving for home at around 12:30 am, thrashed the bar’s security guard Prem Yadav. Gaure even smashed an empty beer bottle on a bar employee Kishan Yadav’s head. Gaure then demanded money from the bar owner and threanted to kill him and the bar employees if he is not given the ‘hafta.’

On basis of a complaint filed by Chariot Bar’s manager Akshay Ajay Dubey (25), Sitabuldi Police arrested Gaure and booked him under sections 324, 384, 294, 506 (B) and 34 of IPC. The minor friend of Gaure was also taken in custody by the cops.
