Blaming PM Narendra Modi responsible for the existing situation of the country, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Prithviraj Chavan said that PM Narendra Modi wants to run the government single handedly even as he lacks the talent. He complained, “He’s not allowing anybody to work freely. Modi during his oath taking ceremony had invited Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif!”

Commenting on the same, he said, “He made a sudden stopover at Pakistan and then a ‘sari-shawl’ diplomacy started! Modi was of the view that everything would be alright, as he had developed a personal rapport with Sharif. But, he forgot that Pakistan Army and ISI decides its relation with India and not its premier.”

He even accused the Centre of compromising with the security of the country. Commenting on the foreign and internal security policy of the BJP govt., he said, “The country was facing worst ever crisis after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister.”

“You are aware of the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Even Manipur is facing the same situation and Naxal attacks have increased manifold. There is tension with Pakistan and China. Also, ties with Nepal and Russia have been hit. Compromise is being made with security of the country,” Chavan said.

He further said that we aren’t unable to understand where we are heading. “I feel the entire failure is because of the PM. He had taken the whole work of external affairs in his own hands, thus sidelining Sushma Swaraj,” he said.

Attacking the BJP government further, he said that the BJP had failed on every front. It even failed fulfill its poll promises.
