Wajid Khan of the popular Sajid-Wajid duo passed away in the early hours of Monday due to complications arising out of kidney infection and heart ailment.

Wajid Khan of the popular Sajid-Wajid duo passed away in the early hours of Monday due to complications arising out of kidney infection and heart ailment. As per many reports and celebrities, Khan had tested positive for COVID-19 a week back and died due to the same. Best remembered for Salman Khan starrer movies such as Wanted, Dabangg and Ek Tha Tiger, the music composer passed away at the age of was 42.

Music composer Salim Merchant confirmed the news of Wajid’s death and said he was hospitalised few days ago at Surana Hospital in Chembur where his condition deteriorated further.

Salim told PTI, “He had multiple issues. He had a kidney issue and had a transplant a while ago. But recently he got to know about kidney infection. He was on the ventilator for the last four days, after his situation started getting worse. Kidney infection was the beginning and then he got critical.”
