60 Seconds Story: YCCE students raise the sensitive issue of rape through the music video – Weigh Me Down

Some students of YCCE, Nagpur have come up with a music video – Weigh me Down - which raises the sensitive issue of rape.

→ Students of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur have come up with a music video – Weigh me Down – which raises the sensitive issue of rape, portrays the suffering of a rape victim and raises a serious question about a woman’s security.

→ The six-minute video features Shruti Nikam playing the victim. The song which plays throughout the video has been penned down by Ayush Sahu and Adil. Ayush has also given his voice for the song along with Abhishree Shastri.

→ The video which took two months to complete (right from the screenplay to the final output) has been directed by Tanmay Jha and the cinematography and production has been done by Kartik Pandit. Kartik and Tanmay have also written the screenplay for the video. The video has already crossed 11,000 views in just a week’s time.

→ The video has been entirely shot in Nagpur and keeping in mind that it has been shot on Canon 700D, the cinematographer did a good job. The music video has been kept a bit dark symbolizing the dark moments and fear a rape victim goes through.
