Nineteen-year-old national level boxer from Nagpur Pranav Raut allegedly ended his life on Friday by hanging himself in a hostel room’s ceiling fan at Akola. Raut’s coach Satishchandra Bhatt confirmed the same. Earlier this year, Raut had represented Maharashtra at a national level boxing championship in Delhi and was undergoing training at a sports academy in Akola for an upcoming tournament.

Bhatt revealed that a day before Raut ended his life, the latter didn’t participate in the training as he wasn’t well and the very next day he ended his life. However, the exact cause of the suicide remains unknown.
