Nagpur-based ophthalmologist Dr Anil Gedam passes away

Nagpur-based ophthalmologist Dr Anil Gedam passed away on Sunday morning (Aug 25) at 6:00 am at the age of 61. He was suffering from blood cancer since the last one year. The cremation will take place at Ambazari crematorium at 5:00 pm.

Dr Gedam earned his MS from Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Nagpur. He was a popular Ophthalmologist in North Nagpur and successfully ran his Eye Hospital for over three decades. He also served as an Ex-Medical Officer, NMC and was actively involved in social work and arranged numerous Eye-Donation Camps and various eye related camps for the benefit of the underprivileged in and around Nagpur.

Dr Gedam left behind him his wife, Dr Sangita Gedam, Child Specialist, Son Dr Saket Gedam (MS Ophthalmologist) and Daughter-in-law, Dr Manvi Gedam (MS Ophthalmologist).

Dr Gedam is the brother in law of Vinod Munghate, GM, Ordnance Factory Katni, Ashok Munghate, PNB (Retired), and Shrikant Munghate former Metropolitan Magistrate, Mumbai and brother of Dinesh Gedam, Bank of India (Retired Regional Manager).
