Nagpur cartoonists showcase their creative skills at a live demonstration on ‘World Cartoonist Day’

Lalitya Foundation and Vidarbha Cartoonist Association in association with Nation Next as the media partner, on the occasion of World Cartoonist Day on May 5, organised a live caricature demonstration at Food Court, Central Mall, Nagpur.

At the demonstration, brilliant cartoonists came together to do what they do the best – make caricatures! Some of these cartoonists included: Umesh Charole, Ashish Warghat, Rahul Dahekar and Sanjay More. These cartoonists were flooded with requests from a lot of shopaholics and passersby to create their caricatures.

Speaking to Nation Next about the live demonstration, Prasad Pimprikar (Founder, Lalitya Foundation) said, “This is the first time we have conducted such an event. The intention was to bust the myth that cartoons are just meant for news and politics. Also, through this event, we wanted to bring out the hidden cartoonist among people. We are planning for more such events in the upcoming weeks.”
