If you think only Mumbai and Bengaluru City Police have the best of tongue-in-cheek posts with messages for people, you’re highly mistaken. Nagpur City Police has left no stone unturned in creating awareness about issues surrounding safety by joining the league of ‘creative’ police departments.

The Nagpur City Police’s official twitter account is all about spreading awareness and ensuring Nagpurians adhere rules in the coolest manner. Nagpur City Police has been trending for all the right reasons by winning hearts of one and all.

Nagpur City Police has garnered accolades through its latest tweet after it posted an image, which reads the famous lines from film Sholay, “Ek scooter aur Aadmi teen, bahut na-insaafi hai yeh. (One scooter for three people? Not fair).

They said, “Maryada se jyada Sawari Mat Bithao, Yaad Rakho Vahan Chaalako!!” Along with the message, they also gave a disclaimer by saying, “This applies not only for the RaamGarh Vaasis, but for ALL.”

When Nation Next asked Nagpur Commissioner of Police Dr K Venkatesham about the unique creatives, he said, “Our recent creative –Sholaw – is a very catchy and interesting one. Cyber crime department in Nagpur also needs such creative so that crimes are reduced. Any important message should be communicated in an interesting manner. People have been loving our creatives so far.”

When asked whether the top cop himself gives any inputs for such creatives, he quipped, “Definitely! Policy formation and direction is what I focus on.”
