May 7: Nagpur COVID-19 tally rises to 255

In the most shocking development, Nagpur COVID-19 tally rose to 255 from 206 as onThursday afternoon (4:40 pm). District Information Officer Anil Gadekar told Nation Next, “All positive patients are from quarantined centres; they belong to Satranjipura and Mominpura.”

Reportedly, Borgaon Square to Awasthi Chowk near New Mankapur has also been also be sealed after NMC erected barricades. It has been said that seven positive patients have emerged from the sealed area. However, no official confirmation has been given on the same. Gadekar said nothing can be ascertained as of now vis-a-vis the same.

As of 7:30 pm on May 6, Nagpur COVID-19 tally rose to 206 with over 44 patients testing positive for coronavirus in a single day. The new patients also included a pregnant woman.

Till late afternoon on May 6, seven people quarantined at Chinchbhavan quarantine centre had tested positive for Coronavirus. Out of these seven cases, while six cases are connected to Mominpura, one is connected to Satranjipura. After these seven cases, 37 more people tested positive for the virus over the period of the day. The 44 positive cases also included the case of that of the 22-year-old boy died, who died on May 5, and was tested positive for coronavirus after his death. As of now, 255 positive cases have been reported in Nagpur. Three positive patients have died and 64 have been discharged after recovery.
