Nagpur: Excise Department books 11 liquor shop owners for violating norms

Nagpur’s 11 liquor shop owners, which include 9 wine retailers and one country liquor outlet, have been booked by the state’s excise department for indulging in counter sale or direct sale of liquor thereby violating the order issued by state government regarding liquor sales in the state. These wine shop owners were selling liquor directly to customers instead of making home deliveries.

As per a report in TOI, the cases would be put up before district collector for further action. The violators include: three wine shop owners under Jaripatka Police station, two under Sadar Police station, another two shops under Imanwada police station and one each under Rana Pratap Nagar police station and Hudkeshwar police station and one case from rural area.
