Five COVID-19 patients were discharged from IGGMCH today taking the tally of recovered patients in Nagpur to 71. The male patients, who were connected to the Satranjipura COVID-19 victim, were hospitalized on April 17, April 23 and April 26 after they tested positive for coronavirus. The five recovered patients, who are 18-year-old, 21-year-old, 24-year-old, 30-year-old and 77-year-old, were discharged after two consecutive COVID-19 reports came back negative.
The discharged patients said that to ensure a speedy recovery, it is important for coronavirus patients to co-operate with doctors and nurses for the treatment. Dr Sagar Pande, Deputy Medical Superintendent, IGGMCH, gave his best wishes to the men as they were discharged from the hospital.
So far, 281 positive cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Nagpur. While 71 people have been discharged and three men have died, remaining patients are undergoing treatment at GMCH and IGGMCH.
