Nagpur girl Tanaya Bowade clinched the first runner-up title at beauty contest Ms India Pacific 2019. In addition, Tanaya also bagged ‘Ms Beautiful face,’ at the same contest that was held at Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai on Monday evening.

Five feet 7 inches tall and an engineer by profession, Tanaya works at the multinational firm Barclays. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer since 10 years and also happens to be a state level chess player. An alumni of Centre Point School, Nagpur, she says that her initial growing up years in Nagpur and her school life played an important role in gaining the confidence required for the beauty pageant.

A determined Tanaya said, “I keep pushing my limits. I love to workout and practice yoga. I have healthy foods habits. I generally avoid junk and oily food. Apart from regular exercise, healthy food is must to maintain a healthy body. Meditation is required to deal with the pressure during such competitions.”

Tanaya also joined hands with her mother Neelam to work for their NGO Manaswini Foundation, which aims at educating underprivileged girls. Attributing her success to her mother, father Jayprakash and director of Absolu Elle Simran Vig, Tanaya said, “Simran ma’am was the person who believed in my capabilities and trained a fresher like me to win this prestigious title, which would have been impossible otherwise.”
