Nagpur Regional Chapter of IIID conducts a session on ‘Sustainable Greenery in Urban Habitats’

The Nagpur Regional Chapter of IIID (Institute of Indian Interior Designers) recently hosted a session on the topic ‘Introduction of Sustainable Greenery in Urban Habitats’ under its flagship – Thirsty Mind Knowledge Series – at Glocal Mall, Sitabuldi, Nagpur. Present during the session were architects, interior designers and students.

Kick starting the session, Prarthana Nangia (Chairperson, IIID-Nagpur), welcomed the people present as she urged them to take advantage of such kind of sessions which would be often organized in the future by Nagpur chapter of IIID.

The session was addressed by Pradeep Barpande (Director, Ecogreen Landscape Technologies Private Limited, India). In his address, Barpande, who has an experience of over 30 years in the field, spoke about latest trends in the field of landscaping, which included varied avenues covered with light weight gardening, green roofs, vertical gardening systems, high rise greenery, sensor based automation of irrigation with remote monitoring and non-conventional greeneries.

Towards the end of the session, Arundhati Sathe (Secretary, IIID-N) thanked Barpande for his address and the people present for their active participation.
