Garbage littered in Dharampeth

Nagpur resident Deepanshu Khirwadkar in his Facebook post on Tuesday lashed out at Nagpur’s current MLA from South-West constituency and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. A businessman by profession, Khirwadkar posted a picture of an area in Dharampeth (that comes under West constituency) surrounded by garbage and filth exactly below a banner that urged citizens to keep the city clean.

Khirwadkar in his lengthy ordeal, urged Nagpur Mayor Sandip Joshi to not just conduct campaigns merely on radio and television but to actually implement it at ground level. Khirwadkar wrote, “Dear Mayor, one can’t keep the city clean by just conducting campaigns merely on radio and television but one should actually implement it at ground level. This is the situation of Dharampeth, which is barely 100 metres away from the residence of former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis who has several times been an MLA. It’s the same Fadnavis, your close friend, who swears by PM Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’ campaign. Our city including NMC has been under BJP governance since past six years now. There’s a reason why Indore has been tagged as the best city since four years now. Instead of carrying out useless campaigns, work like Indore’s mayor does.”
