Nagpur man suspected to have Coronavirus admitted to IGMC

A 41-year-old Nagpur man who showed symptoms of Coronavirus has been admitted to IGMC (Indira Gandhi Medical College) in the city. As per the reports, the man came in contact with an affected Telangana patient. The man was among 20 people who travelled from Dubai to Bengaluru and then to Nagpur.

The news was shared by Pradeep Vyas, the principal health secretary on Thursday. Vyas was accompanied by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Health Minister Rajesh Tope and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) commissioner Praveen Pardeshi. Vyas said that there was no need for people to wear masks as the situation is normal in state.

Vyas added, “But the health workers who are treating the patients and those working at the international airport should wear it as precautionary measures.”
