Nagpur Moms Club, which is an online support group for mothers, on Friendship Day, brought mothers together to spread happiness, as the club organised a visit to Shashkiya Mulinche Balgruh (Shelter home for girls) at Katol Road, Nagpur.

During the visit, founders of Nagpur Moms Club (Anisha Agrawal, Apeksha Munde, Nikita Bembi and Ritu Kukreja), mothers along with their kids and around 90 girls (in the age group of 6-16 years) at the shelter home had a gala time with each other. Also present during the occasion were volunteers of city NGO Zero Gravity.

Apart from tying friendship bands to the girls at the shelter home, mothers indulged in a lot of fun activities with the girls. While some of the girls sung their favourite songs, others entertained with impromptu dance performances. Founders of Nagpur Moms Club also guided the girls on basic and personal hygiene and also shared some friendship mantras with the girls.

Speaking to Nation Next, Ritu Kukreja, said, “We wanted to do something different on Friendship Day. So, we thought of bringing mothers together to bring happiness to these girls. The idea was to bring a smile on the faces of these girls and to spend some good time with them.”
