Remembering legendary singer Mohd Rafi on his 38th death anniversary, Nagpur musicians entertained music lovers with Mohd Rafi songs at ‘Tujhko Pukare Mera Pyaar’ organised on July 31 by Vidarbha Gaurav Pratishthan, Mohd Rafi Fan Club and Revatibai Nilawar Foundation at Sai Sabhagruh.

Present during the occasion were former MP Datta Meghe, former Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr K Venkatesham, Pragati Patil (Chairperson, Women and Chidren’s Committee, NMC), Aqeel Ahmed (Bureau Chief, Police Today, Nagpur Division), actress Priyanka Thakur and several music lovers.

Speaking to Nation Next about the concert, Ahmed said, “It’s incredible to be a part of such an amazing concert. It’s overwhelming to see so many Rafi fans under one roof enjoying his memorable songs together.”

Mohd Rafi is considered to be one of the most versatile and greatest singers in India. The singer, who was born on December 24, 1924, in a career spanning more than two decades, sang some of the most memorable songs of the Indian film industry. Rafi, sadly, passed away on July 31, 1980, leaving behind a legacy, which continues to inspire musicians even after three decades of his death.
