Nagpur Pediatrician Dr Satish Deopujari’s daughter, son-in-law killed in boat fire in California

    Nagpur pediatrician Dr Satish Deopujari lost his daughter Sanjeeri and son-in-law Kaustubh Nirmal, who were living in the US, in boat mishap in California.

    In a tragic incident, well-known Nagpur pediatrician Dr  Satish Deopujari’s daughter Sanjeeri and son-in-law Kaustubh Nirmal, who were living in the US, were killed among 34 people in a boat fire. The incident took place on September 2 when a commercial boat meant for scuba diving caught fire on Santa Cruz Island in Southern California.

    As per a report in a leading daily, Dr Satish Deopujari left for USA on Wednesday as soon as he came to know about the tragedy. The DNA testing is underway and the mortal remains of the victims will be handed over the affected families once the testing is complete. It is being reported that Dr Deopujari’s elder daughter, who also stays in the US, has identified Sanjeeri’s and Kaustubh’s body.

    While Sanjeeri was a dentist, Kaustubh, who basically hails from Jaipur in Rajasthan was working with a finance company in the US. The couple got married in December 2016 and were staying in Stamford in Connecticut state of USA.
