Nagpur Police arrested a criminal who managed to escape from police custody after he was admitted to TB ward of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on May 16. The cops on Monday arrested the criminal Ceejo Chandran, a native from Kerala, under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). Earlier as well, Chandran had successfully managed to flee from police custody.

With the help from a few truck drivers, he escaped to Delhi. Acting on a tip off that Chandran might have sought a shelter in Delhi’s Dakshinpuri, Nagpur Police laid a trap near MB Road near Ambedkar Nagar and arrested him. Also, multiple criminal records were previously registered against him in Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
