Nagpur Police books home-quarantined woman for running away to UP

Nagpur Police have booked a home-quarantined woman who ran away to her mother’s house in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur despite told by the authorities to stay at her house in the city.

As per the police, the woman came back from Sharjah to Nagpur on March 15. The woman was asked by Health department to strictly stay at home for 14 days.

On March 23, when Sonegoan Police officials went to the woman’s house in Nagpur to check on her, they came to know that she has left for her mother’s place.

For putting lives at risk by not obeying the directives issued by Health Department, Sonegoan Police have booked the woman under sections 188, 269, 270 and 271 of the IPC and other relevant sections of different acts.
