Nagpur Police Commissionerate contributes Rs 53.35 lakh to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund

In an inspiring move, Nagpur Police Commissionerate contributed Rs 53,35,604 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) on Saturday.

Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr BK Upadhyay handed over the cheque to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Dr Upadhyay was accompanied by DCP Chinmay Pandit, DCP Vikram Sali, DCP Vivek Masal and other officials.

The amount has been collected by Nagpur Police Commissionerate to help the people affected by floods in Maharashtra. To collect the amount, each official from the Nagpur Police donated one day’s salary.

Along with Nagpur Police, MIHAN India Limited (MIL) also donated Rs 26,28,500 to CMRF. Suresh Kakani, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC), handed over two cheques of Rs 25 lakh and Rs 1,28,500 (collected by MIL staffers) to CM Devendra Fadnavis.
