Nagpur Police detain Chinese man; quarantine him at govt. hospital…

Nagpur Police on Tuesday detained a Chinese man, who was working as a chili trader at Umred in Nagpur district since December 2019. The man, who was stationed in a city hotel, was shifted to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH) so that the required tests vis-à-vis Coronavirus could be done on him. However, he was admitted even though he didn’t show any symptoms of the virus.

As per cops, the Chinese man had checked in a city hotel on March 15 and was staying on a business visa in India. The police got to know about the man while their patrolling to ensure all hotels in the city were shut amid lockdown.

The Chinese man has been kept in the isolation ward and his swab samples have also been sent for testing.
