Nagpur Police make youngsters do 50 sit-ups for violating rules on Independence Day

Nagpur Police, in an inspiring move on Independence Day today, made youngsters do 50 sit-ups as a punishment for violating traffic rules. The incident took place opposite Telankhedi Mandir at Futala where youngsters, (including some below 18 years of age), were riding triple seat that too sans helmet. Th youngsters also created a ruckus thus disturbing the law and order situation of the city. The police also made an announcement through their patrolling vehicles requesting citizens to abide by the traffic rules and follow safety measures.

Senior Police Inspector at Traffic Chamber 2, Atul Sabnis, who punished the youngsters, told Nation Next, “Such people should be ashamed of themselves. They don’t have any moral and social responsibility. They were creating ruckus and were behaving like hooligans. Such people must be taught a lesson.”
