Nagpur records 1st COVID-19 death

Nagpur recorded its first death due to COVID-19. A 68-year-old resident of Satranjpura Badi Masjid in East Nagpur passed away on Sunday night. On Monday he was found be COVID-19 positive. The area is now in the process of being sealed by NMC authorities. The man, who was a COVID-19 suspect, was hospitalised in city’s Mayo Hospital on April 4 in ward number 21 due to respiratory issues . Moreover, the deceased had no travel history. The 68-year-old had come to the OPD of the hospital alone at midnight 12 due to fever.

 Dr Devendra Paturkar from GMC confirmed the same to Nation Next.
