Nagpur: Released from jail on parole, 24-year-old goon stoned to death by rivals

Annu Thakur Sudam Baghel, a goon who was released from jail on parole a week ago, was stoned to death by his rivals at Fukat Nagar in Nagpur on the night of June 3.

As per the police, Thakur had gone to Fukat Nagar along with his friend Shakir to attend Shakir’s sister’s wedding. The duo was intercepted by Usmaan Ali, Makkhan and Mehboob. Thakur had reportedly torched Usmaan’s vehicle last year. On spotting Thakur in the locality, Usmaan along with Makkhan and Mehboob demanded money from Thakur. The arguement soon turned violent after which the accused stabbed Thakur with a knife and then stoned him to death.

After spotting Thakur’s body lying in a pool of blood, a few locals alerted the cops at Yashodhara police station. Usmaan, Makkhan and Mehboob have been booked by the polcie under sections 302 (Punishment for murder) and 34 (Criminal Acts done by several persons in furtherance of the common intention of all) of the IPC, Sections 4, 25 and 27 of Indian Arms Act and Section 135 of Maharashtra Police Act.

Thakur was a history sheeter, who was earlier slapped with Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) Act.
