Nagpur’s Shweta Umre to represent India at Commonwealth Senior Youth Officials Meet

    Nagpur's Shweta Umre has been selected to represent India at the Commonwealth Senior Youth Officials Meet to be held in Brunei from August 27 to August 29.

    Nagpur’s Shweta Umre has been selected by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to represent India at the Commonwealth Senior Youth Officials Meet to be held in Brunei from August 27 to August 29. Shweta’s name was recommended by Prime Minister Office (PMO) for the international event. Shweta was then selected from among 50 participants across India.

    In February 2019, Shweta received an award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for winning the first prize at National Youth Parliament 2019 organised by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.

    Shweta, who has studied B.Sc at Institute of Forensic Sciences in Nagpur is a frequent debater and has participated in more than 500 competitions and won around 250 awards till date. Shweta is currently pursuing M.Sc in Forensic Science from National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science in New Delhi.
