Nagpur witnesses 6 murders in 4 days

At least six murders took place in Nagpur in the past four days amid lockdown. In the past 24 hours, three people were killed in separate incidents in the city. Vice-president of Nagpur Central Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Raj Dorle was killed on Tuesday morning on the suspicion of an old rivalry. His head was squashed and was stabbed to death in Bhuteshwar Nagar’ police arrested two people in the connection.

On the same day, a local gangster Viren killed a man named Ram Kashyap. Police are now looking for Viren and his two goons for the murder that took place on the outskirts of the city.

On Thursday, two youngsters on bike attacked 25-year-old Kartik Laxman Sarve, with an iron rod a. Kartik, who was a resident of Gopal Nagar was on his way back home on foot when the incident took place. Reportedly, Kartik was attacked due to a love affair with one of the attacker’s sister. BS Khandale, who is in charge of the case, told Nation Next that the accused Vikram Hukumbahadur Karki and Ramu Gomate have been arrested under Sections 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

On Tuesday, two unidentified men killed Vaibhav Matre (35), a resident of Hudkeshwar, in Padole Lawn. The man stabbed him to death and fled, after which a case of murder was registered at Hudkeshwar Police Station.

On Wednesday, local goon Annu Thakur was killed in Yashodhara Nagar after his head was smashed with stones over an old enmity. Cops arrested three suspects from Kundhalal Gupta Nagar. However, further investigations are still underway.

At the time of filing this story, sixth murder took place in New Kamptee on Friday. However, further details are awaited.
