Nagpurians satiate their sugar cravings during Baker’s Treat Festival at café Goosebumps

Nagpurians satiated their sugar cravings during the ten-day bakery festival ‘Baker’s Treat Festival,’ held at café Goosebumps, Civil Lines. The festival, which was held during 21st-30th September, was the first ever bakery festival held in the city. Apart from mouth-watering desserts, games, vouchers and lucky draw contests were also arranged for the customers. The bakery festival was organised by owner of café Goosebumps Vishnu Maloo along with wife Ekta.  

The festival was celebrated to introduce and promote variety of bakery products, the city always craved for. The festival also included some food related activities, games, contests and live events for all age groups. The highlight of the festival were delicacies like – jar cake, mug cake, chocolate tart, chocolate bomb, cheese cake and tiramisu desert.

One activity that caught the attention of customers was when children were asked to finish off their pastries in 30 seconds. During the festival, the winner of the online lucky draw was given a voucher of Rs 2000 and the runner-ups were given a bakery privilege card.

While speaking to Nation Next, Vishnu Maloo, said, “The event was quite a success and people of all ages spent some really good time. As this was the first ever bakery festival of the city, so we catered to a huge crowd. We’re planning to conduct a similar event in every six months.”

Ekta Maloo said, “We tried to come up with something unique for Nagpurians, especially products which weren’t available in Nagpur otherwise.”
