Nagpurians start their Sunday on refreshing note at ‘East on Street’

Citizens from East Nagpur started their Sunday (Aug 11) on a refreshing note as they gathered near Poonam Mall in Wardhaman Nagar for East on Street organised by politician Umakant Agnihotri and his team. This was the second time East on Street was organised for the citizens. It was first organised on Aug 4 and will also be organised for a third consecutive Sunday on Aug 18.

Thousands of citizens from East Nagpur gathered near a huge stage set up in front of Poonam Mall on Sunday morning and indulged themselves in activities like meditation and Zumba. While the meditation session was conducted by Nakul Agrawal and Reet Rupani, Zumba session was conducted by Zumba instructor Rachana Sharma and her team.

With the theme of the event being ‘Independence Day Special,’ there were several patriotic dance performances, which took place on the stage. These performances included performances by students of Kala Niketan Dance Academy, students of Art Basera owned by Aarti Khandelwal and other performers. Power Garba instructor Satyajit Vora also came on the stage along with his fellow instructors to teach power garba techniques to the citizens.

Thereafter, a music band comprising of city youngsters entertained the audience with popular Bollywood tracks. In the end, some youngsters displayed their martial art skills as they showcased some moves of Taekwondo.
