Nagpur’s BP Dharmadhikari appointed as Acting Chief Justice of Bombay High Court with immediate effect…

Nagpur born Justice Bhushan Pradyumna Dharmadhikari, has been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of Bombay High Court after Rashtrapati Bhavan issued a communiqué on Monday. Justice Dharmadhikari is presently the senior most judge at the Bombay High Court.

His appointment came after the retirement of former Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Pradeep Nandrajog. Two weeks ago, BP Dharmadhikar’s cousin Justice Satyaranjan Dharmadhikari, who was the then senior most judge after the Chief Justice, had also tendered his resignation on February 15 citing personal reasons.
