Nana Patole seeks Lord Ganesha’s blessings before battling it out with Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur LS polls

Senior Congress leader Nana Patole was recently declared as the Lok Sabha candidate from Nagpur against Union Minister Nitin Gadkari by the Congress party.  After Patole arrived in the city, he was accorded with a warm welcome by Congress leaders and hundreds of supporters at Nagpur Railway Station today morning.

Patole after leaving the station, went to Tekdi Mandir to offer prayers and seek blessings from Lord Ganesha. The senior leader would also head towards Deekshabhoomi and seek blessings at Hazrat Tajuddin Baba Dargah during the day. 

Former BJP MP from Bhandara-Gondia constituency (Maharashtra) Nana Patole joined Congress in 2018. Patole quit the BJP in December 2017 after accusing PM Narendra Modi of turning a blind eye towards farmers’ apathy in Vidarbha.

Subsequently Patole resigned as Member of Parliament from Lok Sabha in 2017. After he joined the BJP in 2014, he defeated NCP heavyweight Praful Patel by a margin of 1,50,000 votes.
