Avinash Pande, All India Congress Committee’s recently appointed general secretary from Nagpur, claimed that the Opposition has miserably failed in spreading the ‘false image’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi among people. “The Congress has a challenge of bringing forward the right image of Modi in front of people. The day we succeed, the Congress will be triumphant again,” said Pande.

Pande, who’s the former member of the Rajya Sabha, was promoted to the post of general secretary of AICC (All India Congress Committee) and was also appointed as the in-charge of Rajasthan. Speaking about the immediate challenges before the polls, he said, “We want to expose the BJP and Modi who are winning elections riding on false promises. They are building castles in the air that are bound to collapse soon.”

Speaking about Rahul Gandhi taking over as the Congress president by the year-end, he said, “It’s just a formality as Rahul and Sonia are working in tandem with each other. Rahul is free to take any decision.”
