Bollywood actor-director Neeraj Vora breathed his last today (Thursday, December 14) at Criti Care hospital in Mumbai after prolonged illness. Vora, who was best known for writing the script of super hit film Hera Pheri (2000), was in coma from more than a year after suffering a massive heart attack and brain stroke in 2016. Akshay Kumar, who’s worked with Vora in films like Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri took to Twitter by saying that Vora was the main reasons behind his foray into comedy.
After Vora went into coma, producer Feroz Nadidwala took him to his home and converted a room into an ICU (Intensive Care Unit). The actor would be cremated at 3pm in Santa Cruz in Mumbai.
Vora, who’s acted in movies like Rangeela, Mann, Virasat, etc., also wrote the script for Rohit Shetty’s film Golmaal (2006). Apart from Akshay Kumar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Paresh Rawal, etc also tweeted. Check their tweets below.
One of the main reasons behind my foray into comedy, saddened to hear about the demise of #NeerajVora a multi-talented man, writer, director, actor…a mini industry by himself, learnt so much from him. RIP
