NITI Aayog building sealed after employee tests positive for Coronavirus

The NITI Aayog office building in central Delhi was sealed for 48 hours on Tuesday after an employee tested positive for coronavirus.

Alok Kumar, Adviser at NITI Aayog told PTI, “A director level officer working at NITI Bhawan has tested positive for coronavirus. He got his reports at 9 am on April 28, and then he informed the authorities.”

The people who came in contact with the officer have all been asked to go into self-isolation. “We are following necessary protocol and health ministry has been informed and all the due processes will be followed,” Kumar added.

Ajit Kumar, Deputy Secretary (Administration) of NITI Aayog, also tweeted, “One officer in NITI Ayog has tested positive for COVID-19. The necessary protocol is being followed including sealing of the building for two days for thorough disinfection and sanitisation.”
