Nitin Gadkari inaugurates Nagpur’s 2nd CNG station ‘Rawmatt’ at Wadi

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the second CNG station situated at Wadi in Nagpur. The station, established by Rawmatt Industries, would be supplying CNG to Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) buses and would also provide option for diesel buses to run on CNG.

Gadkari on Saturday said that by converting diesel buses into CNG run buses, the life of NMC’s buses would increase by 15 years. Gadkari also emphasised on the use of agricultural and biomass waste for production of Bio-CNG. The minister flagging off an LNG operated truck highlighted that the trucks are cost-effective compared to diesel that would eventually increase its average in the longer run. While Nagpur’s first CNG station was set up at Kamptee Road area, the third is soon set to be launched at Wardha Road in the coming month.
