In a dramatic turn of events, senior Congress leader Dr Nitin Raut has replaced Kishor Gajbhiye as the Congress candidate from Ramtek Lok Sabha constituency. Our sources in the Congress party told Nation Next that minutes ago, Rahul Gandhi gave a go ahead to Dr Raut to file nomination papers for the elections. Gajbhiye has been asked to withdraw his nomination. Raut, who’s the AICC scheduled caste cell chairman was trying hard for the ticket from Ramtek constituency, but initially the party had declared Gajbhiye as its official candidate.

The Congress on Sunday had declared Kishor Gajbhiye as its candidate for the Ramtek seat, which is reserved for scheduled caste candidates. The Shiv Sena has fielded sitting MP Krupal Tumane from Ramtek.
