Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah took a jibe at the casting of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi as PM Narendra Modi in the latter’s upcoming biopic ‘Narendra Modi.’ The National Conference vice-president also compared Modi’s biopic with that of Vijay Ratnakar Gutte’s political drama ‘The Accidental Prime Minister,’ which is based on former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s journey.

Omar, drawing comparisons, on his Twitter handle, wrote, “Life is unfair Dr Manmohan Singh got someone of the calibre of Anupam Kher. Poor Modi ji has to settle for Vivek Oberoi. Salman Khan hota toh kya maza aata.” Directed by Omung Kumar, the Modi biopic will feature Vivek Anand Oberoi as Narendra Modi.

Soon after Omar made the comments, fans brutally trolled Abdullah by saying that if ever a film was made on his life, Kamaal R Khan, Tusshar Kapoor or Rajpal Yadav would be the perfect choice to essay Omar’s role.
