Panic grips Nagpur after woman from Ram Nagar having COVID-19 symptoms dies

Nagpur: A 39-year-old woman with COVID-19 symptoms died due to sickness on Thursday at 11 pm. Reportedly, cops said the woman was admitted to a private hospital in Sneh Nagar on Thursday afternoon after her health deteriorated. The woman, who was a resident of Ram Nagar, was a heart patient and was on dialysis. 

Doctors immediately alerted cops at Ambazari Police Station after they suspected the deceased to have COVID-19 symptoms. Her body has been sent to GMC and her COVID-19 reports are awaited. However, when we spoke to District Information Officer Anil Gadekar, he said, “So far, I’m yet to receive any information regarding the same.”

When we spoke to DCP Zone II Vinita S, she said that prima facie the case appears to be of the woman from Ram Nagar who did show COVID-19 symptoms.
