Expressing concern over increasing suicide cases, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said parents shouldn’t burden their children with undue expectations. Deshmukh on Monday advised youngster to focus on competitive exams apart from preparing for exams for recruitment in police service.

Deshmukh further said that the state government is focusing on strengthening laws to eradicate crime against women. He claimed that a recruitment drive would soon be launched in the home department for around 7,000-8,000 vacant posts to strengthen the police force in the state.
