Prime Minister Narendra Modi washed the feet of sanitary workers in Prayagraj for keeping the on-going Kumbh mela (largest human congregation in the world) clean despite a gathering of around 20-22 crore people. Modi shared that he would always cherish the moment of washing their feet.

The PM also took a holy dip and offered prayers in Sangam and ‘prayed for the wellbeing of 130 crore Indians.’

Modi said, “It was a huge responsibility to keep the area clean where 20-22 crore people had gathered. You’ve proved that there’s nothing impossible in the world. The sanitation workers kept doing their work without expecting any recognition and praise.”
