Inhumanity crossed all limits after a body of a six-month-pregnant woman’s naked body was found tied to two cement poles inside well at Butibori in Nagpur. The incident took place at Ruikhairi, after which the accused dumped the woman’s body in the well to destroy all evidences.

The accused uprooted two cement poles, which were erected for a residential area. They tied her naked so that the body after decomposition couldn’t be identified. A near-by resident came across the body due to the body’s foul smell coming from the well.

When Nation Next spoke to police personnel from Butibori Police Station, they said, “We’re yet to identify the details of the woman. We’ve formed a special team for investigation of the same, which have been sent to Chandrapur, Wardha etc. We aren’t sure if the woman was raped or not. However, we’re investigating the matter deeply. We’ve sent the body for post mortem. It’s only after the doctors after post mortem can tell us the exact case.”

When we spoke to senior police inspector Asif Sheikh from Butibori Police Station, he said that he would divulge all details once the case is clear. A case has been registered under Sections 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code.
