Amid COVID-19, political developments in Maharashtra have gained momentum for past three days. Reportedly, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Prithviraj Chavan might replace senior Congress leader and incumbent Speaker of Maharashtra Assembly Nana Patole as there has been a talk of reshuffling of posts in Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). As per TV9, ‘aggressive’ Patole might be given the post of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) in the coming days.
Reportedly, Patole had gone to Delhi on Wednesday to meet Congress leader Rahul Gandhi but the meeting couldn’t take place. However, Gandhi sent a message to Patole saying the meeting, which couldn’t be materialised due to COVID-19 crisis, has been scheduled for next time.
It has been said that Chavan who doesn’t hold any ministerial post in the MVA currently is being considered for the post due to his vast experience.
