Psycho Galaxy 2017 gives Hislop College students the perfect platform for psychological analysis

The Department of Psychology, Hislop College, had organised an exhibition cum intercollegiate competition – Psycho Galaxy 2017 – on 20th January 2017 at their auditorium ‘Shalom.’ Twenty-five teams, that comprised two students each, showcased various psychological experiments on visitors and detailed them about psychology.

During an interaction with Nation Next, online media partner for the event, faculty of Hislop College, Dr Mala Singh, (HOD, Psychology Department), stated, “We have been organising this exhibition from past 15 years. When we started this exhibition, we initially hosted the exhibition at our college level only. We saw more and more students showing keen interest in psychology. So, in 2005, we gradually decided to involve other educational institutions. We have a strength of more than 100 students in The Department of Psychology that includes professionals like gynecologists, engineers, lawyers, etc.”

Students of The Department of Psychology presented interesting and varied models of information on subjects based on memory, perceptions, handwriting analysis, social psychology, gaming, illusions, psychology attention test and many more. Dr Sumidha Wankhede, Dr Priya Raj Kumar and Parma Mujumdar were the judges for the intercollegiate competition.
