Esha Deol Takthani, who is beaming and glowing with her motherhood, said that her six-month-old daughter Radhya completes her as a mother. While quizzing about her feelings about motherhood, she instantly answered, “Radhya is my biggest production (smiles) and she has completed me and Bharat as a parent.”
She added, “Radhya is very bubbly, always smiling, very cheerful. Sometimes she does those mischievous things, which I used to do as a child.” Esha and Bharat got to know that they would have a baby girl when they went for their baby-moon in Greece. But they preferred to be tight-lipped till the day Radhya was born. Speaking about names, Esha said, “Our families and friends had given us naming books and every night we used to go through names and combinations. One fine day, we decided upon Radhya, which it means ‘To Be Worshipped’ and she came into this world just one day prior to Diwali. She’s our Laxmi.”
There was a speculation that Esha had taken a break from movies for a longer time as she’s is a mother now. Finally, she shot for a short film ‘Cakewalk’ directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee and Abhra Chakraborty in Kolkata.
While questioned how does it feel to face the camera after a long time? She quipped, “I’d always wanted to work in a film, which has a strong storyline and strong character. Thankfully, Cakewalk is the film whose story I liked and said yes to it. People around me never made me feel that I was away from silver screen for so long. It was literally a cakewalk for me to work with the team including Ram Kamal and Abhra! (Laughs).” Assorted Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd and SS1 Entertainment and Aritra Das produced the short film ‘Cakewalk.’
Before signing off, we wish Radhya a blessed and healthy life and we’re sure Radhya would take forward the legacy of dance and acting.
