Rahul Gandhi wins hearts at Bapu’s land on Gandhi Jayanti

    Congress President Rahul Gandhi won hearts of his supporters when he visited Sevagram in Maharashtra’s Wardha district on October 2 – Gandhi Jayanti.

    Congress President and Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi won hearts of his supporters when he visited Sevagram in Maharashtra’s Wardha district on October 2 – the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Rahul, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, was accompanied by UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.

    After attending a prayer meeting at Sevagram Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi spent the final years of his life, Rahul along with Sonia Gandhi and Dr Manmohan Singh attended the Congress Working Committee meeting at Mahadev Bhavan at Sevagram. While Rahul did not brief the media post the meeting and gave the charge of briefing to Congress MLA from Haryana Randeep Surjewala, he did indulge his supporters after coming out of the venue.

    As Rahul came out of the venue, young girls screamed his name and requested for selfies and Rahul obliged. When Akshep Ramteke, who works as a Senior Cath Lab Technologist at Kasturba Hospital in Sevagram approached Rahul for a picture with Akshep’s three year old son Ryan, Rahul took the little boy in his arms and posed for a picture!

    After leaving from Mahadev Bhavan, Rahul took part in a ‘padhyatra’ and the addressed a huge gathering at a ‘Jahir Sabha’ held at Circus Ground in Wardha.
