Megastar Rajinikanth on Saturday at a public event confirmed that his upcoming movie 2.0 will be released on April 14, 2018. 2.0, will is being directed by Tamil film director Shankar, was initially scheduled to release in October 2017, then in January 2018 and now finally will release in April 2018.
Speaking at the event about the delay in the film’s release, Rajinikanth informed that extensive use of computer graphics as well as re-recording of a song by AR Rehman has delayed the film. Speaking about the film, the 67-year-old actor said, “You won’t find another movie like 2.0. There will be even more expensive films but content-wise 2.0 is very fresh and unique. It’ll be remembered like how Chandralekha is talked about even today.”
2.0, which is a sequel to 2010 movie Enthiran, apart from Rajinikanth also has actor Akshay Kumar and actress Amy Jackson in pivotal roles.
