RBI to circulate ‘pink coloured’ Re 1 notes

    The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) would soon circulate new pink coloured one-rupee notes, which would have an image of Sagar Samrat oilrig.

    “These currency notes are legal tender as provided in The Coinage Act 2011. The existing currency notes in this denomination in circulation will also continue to be legal tender,” as per the release by RBI

    The new notes would bear the bilingual signature of Secretary, Ministry of Finance Shaktikanta Das.

    “It will contain the words ‘Bharat Sarkar’ in Devnagri above the words ‘Government of India”
