Released from jail a month ago, wanted gangster from Nagpur Vickey Chavan murdered

Two persons named Arpit Nimburkar and Abhishek Warrarpande allegedly murdered Vickey Chavan, one of the wanted criminals in Nagpur. The incident took place at Chakrabhuj Nagar during wee hours on Monday after a road rage.

DCP crime Nilesh Bharne told Nation Next, “Vickey Chavan was released from jail a month ago. The investigations regarding his death are still on.”

Police said that during the road rage, Chavan had an argument with Nimburkar and Warrarpande (who were on one bike) after his two-wheeler collided with their’s at Wadi ring road. After the argument, Vickey and the duo left the place vowing to avenge each other.

Chavan along with his friend Abhishek Mehre reportedly went at Nimburkar’s house and started creating a ruckus in the latter’s absence. Nimburkar immediately reached home after learning the same. It was said that during their confrontation in the house, Nimburkar and Warrarpande snatched the sharp weapons that Chavan had used to attack the duo. In the process, Chavan succumbed to death and Mehre sustained injuries.

Wadi Police Station personnel nabbed Nimburkar and Warrarpande. A case of murder has been registered against Nimburkar and Warrarpande.
