In a new turn of events, Lahoree Deluxe Bar and Restaurant’s owner Sameer Sharma, along with three others, has been arrested in the Lahoree shootout incident, which occurred on November 13, 2016 at the bar at WHC Road, Dharampeth, Nagpur.

For the uninitiated, on November 13, 2016, a shootout took place near Lahoree Bar, after a guy named Pawan Chaudhary was forced out of the bar as he misbehaved with a female customer. Sameer had told Nation Next earlier that Pawan returned with a few other people (Sheikhu Khan and members of his gang) and fired at him. Sameer had lodged a complaint after that, following which Pawan and a few others were arrested.

Speaking to Nation Next about the sudden turn of events, a source at Sitabuldi police station said, “Sameer Sharma, Rakesh Samudrawar, Shrikant Wanve and Abhishek Singh were arrested yesterday in the evening at around 7:45 pm. Pawan Chaudhary in his statement to the police had said that when he reached near Lahoree, it was Sameer Sharma who had fired at him. His lawyer filed an affidavit with the court asking for Pawan’s complaint to be lodged. The affidavit was sent to Commissioner of Police’s office and after we received the orders from CP office, we arrested Sameer along with the other three people. All of the them have been kept in the lockup at Sadar Police Station. Sameer Sharma is not well, so he is admitted in Mayo hospital. These people have been booked under section 307 and section 147 of the Indian Penal Code and they will be taken to the court today after 3 pm.”
